About Me

Born and raised in the Atlanta Metro Area: I have had a lifelong interest in programming and solving puzzles. So why major in communications? There is no job or aspect of life that isn't improved by the ability to communicate effectively. That's especially true in a technical environment. Things like SCRUM and AGILE, documentation, standups and even object-oriented programming exist to improve communication and understanding.

My time at zPaper taught me even more than I was expecting, I found myself in a position where I was learning salesforce, setting up services on AWS and developing a serverless function in Go, I was encouraged to explore new possibilities for myself and the company, and I believe I delivered. What began as a simple old java web app, became a dynamic dashboard that can be easily configured by users in support, engineering and even clients. The use of serverless, while not always the best solution, in this case made these tools separate from the more monolithic server structure the company had been using.
